Now in its 41st year the SCDI Annual Forum is the premier policy and networking event in the Scottish business and economic calendar.


Attended by 300 senior delegates from business, education, the public sector, trades unions, the third sector, central and local government and the Scottish media, the Forum brings together a world-class programme of wealth creators, international experts and thought leaders.


The theme for 2012 is “Smart Scotland: Delivering our Ambitions”. Against a backdrop of unprecedented economic challenge in the modern era, we will focus on how Scotland can rise to the global challenges and fulfil its ambitions through innovative and creative solutions.


Building on the strategic vision for Scotland’s future sustainable growth beyond 2020 in SCDI’s “Blueprint for Scotland”, the Forum will examine the possibilities for a Smart Nation with Smart Cities, Smart Assets, Smart Energy and Smart People. The programme will be delivered through plenary keynote sessions, active leadership groups and the reconvening of SCDI’s prestigious leadership gathering, the Scot10 Panel.


This is an agenda which needs the contribution of all sectors across Scotland’s economic development landscape.
